Mononucleosis-coconut Oil

guinea pig ... 2

WHAT'S FOR DINNER?
(supply to the guinea pig)

The guinea pig is a herbivore, which means that its power should include only fresh fruits and vegetables, hay and pellets made from grass.
Fruit and vegetables should be washed, dried at room temperature, you have to introduce a vegetable at a time, in order to identify those that can cause diarrhea, the daily ration of 100g. be divided into two meals. I recommend removing that made by the previous meal.
Here I give you a tip be administered on the vegetables: romaine lettuce, parsley, celery, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts and broccoli, greens, ribs, sweet pepper, chicory, salad love (chicory, radicchio, chicory, endive and Belgian) green beans, carrots, tomatoes, artichoke (without spines), courgettes, basil, sage, rosemary, mint, thyme, marjoram, oregano, clover and dandelion.

For the chef recommends fruit: apples, pears, apricots, plums cherries, peaches, bananas, grapes, currants, strawberries, watermelon, melon, kiwi and orange.

The hay must be available. Choose a common type of hay, which is composed of alfalfa, is very rich in calcium, if given in excess can cause health problems. A good hay must be a little dusty and pleasantly scented. Finally we arrive at

pelleted feed. It too must be given in limited quantities, and must have these characteristics:

- must contain only pellet : NO seeds, dried fruit, colored nuggets, cereal flakes or swelled;
- should consist of grass: NOTHING flour or other vegetable;
- must have a fiber content of at least 20%;
- do NOT contain animal fat
- ultimately, DO NOT have to be rabbits, mice or hamsters.

NOT give your guinea pig: pasta, rice, cakes, biscuits, milk and dairy products (the guinea pig is lactose intolerant), rhubarb, potatoes or sprout their leaves, branches and leaves of tomatoes (all poisonous plants), vegetables , garlic, onion, mushrooms, avocado and coconut (grassissimi! !!!), and sugary fruit juices Obviously, any type of food made from grains, cereals and dried fruits.

Last but not least you should know that guinea pigs can not synthesize vitamin C, therefore it is necessary to supplement it with vegetables like cabbage, peppers and parsley are rich, or through drops that you have administered directly into the mouth of your friend or through the "candies" that are specific on the market.

I hope I have been quite comprehensive, but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!
